128 complete, parametric preset voices in 21.3 MBytes as an .x3v file, including a new real and unique synthesis method.

Frequency Block Synthesis pack is not a common "soundlibrary", it is a "synth-in-a-pack". In fact, this means a new SYNTHESIZER, a real SYNTHESIS METHOD that is getting onto the board of your gear with 128 pre-established presets by loading this .x3v file to your Yamaha Motif XF/Montage/MODX device. "1st sounds" has its unique sounding sounds (as all synthesis-based synthesizers have), due to the taste of its donor frequencies, and this feature is marvellous!

About the "synth-in-a-pack" concept: there are only 24 frequency blocks that build up all 128 presets!!!

This means that the same frequency blocks appear in a string sound, in a guitar sound, in a bass sound, in a piano sound, in a brass sound, in an e-piano sound, in an analog motionsynth sound, in all of these presets these blocks are shared in a unique variaty and intensity. That makes Frequency Block Synthesis.

Starting Frequency Block Synthesis from a scratch:

You can build new voices from scratch by setting 1-8 oscillators to wished frequency blocks. Frequency blocks get to your gear by loading the pack to your keyboard. Find them the right volume by moving the sliders in voice mode and morph the sound till the right synthesized sound is achieved. Further on, you can change the pitch of a frequency block (an element) to another octave or note as per wish, and the original preset is gone and you have a new sounding voice again. And finally you can refine your sound by changing overall voice settings (cutoff, resonance, AEG, adusting Effect parameters etc...) or changing all general parameter we know about on a Yamaha device like poly/mono, portamento, time referenced and dynamic settings as AEG, PEG, FEG, LFO on single frequency blocks (on elements), and so on.

You can also morph the output sounding of any of the 128 presets easily in voice mode by moving the sliders that will adjust the volume levels of separate frequency block elements that build up and synthesize new sounding output voices. Further on, you can replace any frequency block (any element) to another frequency block or change the pitch of a frequency block (an element) to another octave or note as per wish, and the original preset is gone and you have a new sounding voice again. Furthermore, you can change overall voice settings (cutoff, resonance, AEG, Effect parameters etc...) or if you need to go deeper you can change all general parameter we know about on a Yamaha device like poly/mono, portamento, time referenced and dynamic settings as AEG, PEG, FEG, LFO on separate frequency blocks (on elements) and so on.

The future:

Be ready for having something very new and special... A serie of such "synth-in-a-pack" synthesizers with their presets having different taste of sounds is likely to upcome in the near future… This might mean "2nd sounds", "3rd sounds", etc. in the next months, in any theme, that depends on the donor frequency blocks...

So:

Frequency Block Synthesis is a new and real synthesis method for those synthesizers, which have an at least 8 layer sounding waveform player architecture! This recent 128 synth voices pack as a "synth-in-a-pack" was actually made on Yamaha Motif XF with Frequency Block Synthesis (because I have a Motif XF!), but by-the-way this synthesis method can work on any other platform having similar waveform player architecture. The final result for Yamaha gears is an .x3v file format that you can load into your Motif/Montage/MODX to check this new synthesis method on your own! It is now available here. The whole pack eats up 21.3 MBytes and it doesn’t use any waveform from your Yamaha Motif XF/Montage/MODX.
